Heritage Week 2016 is almost here!
Heritage Week, Ireland’s annual celebration of our built, natural and cultural heritage, will take place from 20 to 28 August.
In 2016, the Heritage Council is inviting you to explore 100 Years of Heritage and take a journey back through one hundred years of Ireland, discovering the lives of those who came before us. From open days at historic buildings to hands-on heritage fun for children there is something for everyone to enjoy; exhibitions, activities, talks, craft demonstrations, reenactments, tours and more.
Heritage Week is Ireland’s most popular cultural event with over 1,800 events, large and small, planned across the country. For nine action packed days, celebrate heritage, community and a deep connection between people and place. With great events happening across Ireland, it’s time to start planning your Heritage Week adventures!
