Beginner Cycling Training for Women

About:

This programme is for women who have very basic cycling skills but would like to improve their confidence while cycling on the road. The sessions will take place over 6 weeks. There are two sessions to choose from,  morning or evening, depending on what suits your schedule. The sessions are designed to be safe and relaxed while helping you build on-road cycling skills, confidence and fitness. The training will include:

  

  • Week 1: Prepare to Ride. Gear, bike check, bike handling basics.
  • Week 2: Road Junctions
  • Week 3: Using the gears
  • Week 4: Cycling as part of a group
  • Week 5: Puncture repairs
  • Week 6: Longer cycle, what next?

Times: Morning Session 09.30-11:30 or Evening Session 18:00 to 19.30
Dates: Tuesday 05.09.16, Tuesday 12.09.16, Tuesday 19.09.16, Tuesday 26.09.16, Tuesday 03.10.16, Tuesday 10.10.16

Location: Castletroy, Limerick

Needed: Please bring your bicycle and bicycle helmet to each session.
