Cycle Fun Days
The Limerick Smarter Travel School Project delivers 'cycle fun days' to participating schools as part of their participation in the project. These involve a basic introduction to bike safety and maintenance followed by relays designed to promote safer cycling for school children. These events are simple fun events which are not to be considered as training per se but more an opportunity for children to learn more about cycling in general. Please contact our office for further details or visit our cycling initiative section for more details on cycling action days in schools
Cycling Policies for Schools
As part of the Limerick Smarter Travel School Project, schools are generally encouraged to develop a cycling policy for their school. This is to ensure that students cycling to school understand what is expected of them as cyclists. A school cycling policy template is provided as a download on this page.
