Walking Resources

Manager: Sharon Lynch

Walking to school provides children with the opportunity to build on safety lessons learnt in school and put them into practice. Good habits learned young are learned well. Teaching your child to walk safely to school will stand them in good stead for the rest of their life. This section of the website aims to provide you with resources to help you raise awareness about promoting walking to school. Further details on the various initiatives available to schools can be found on our walking initiatives page.

Participating Schools

Participating schools will receive the support of a dedicated school travel officer who will guide them through the process of organising your first school walking event. One of the keys to success of any walking initiatives is action planning and target setting. Get in touch with us today to arrange a meeting with our travel officer to discuss how we can help you to promote walking to school.
